Winnipeg is a  Luna Longhair NPC found on the Cooking page. Players may use his services to process select items, or cook new foods using recipes.

Processing

The processing menu

Processing turns select items into new output items instantly for a copper fee. The menu is accessed by selecting "Process Items" underneath Winnipeg. Formulas are not needed to process an item.

A list of processable items and their outcomes can be found below. Some items have multiple outcomes, but only one output item may be selected at a time while processing.

Cooking

Cooking is a method of creating new foods with the use of recipes. Recipes are formula items. Each recipe has instructions to create only 1 food, though the recipe may be used an infinite number of times to cook the food. A recipe may be added by selecting the "Add Recipes" button located under Winnipeg's dialogue on PC, and above the recipes list on mobile. A list of recipes present in the players storage that hasn't been added will appear in this menu, if the selection is empty there are no available recipes to add.

Recipes require ingredients, and a copper fee to create. Some recipes will have additional "Items Required" to create. These are separate from the main recipe, and are planned to be replaced with tools that aren't single-use. Cooking is an instant process, and will consume all inputted items.

Above is an example of a added recipe, on the leftmost side is the name and icon of the food the recipe will create. "SP" is the amount of stamina the food will replenish when used in an errand. Selecting the  paper icon brings up a small window that repeats the recipes ingredients. From this window players may return a recipe to storage. After a recipe is returned to storage it'll no longer be available for Winnipeg to cook, until it is added to Winnipeg's recipe list again.

To the right of the foods information is the ingredients and "Items Required" needed to use the recipe. Selecting the icons opens the items information card. This information card has a summary of its circulation, rarity, and obtainment sources. "Add Ingredients?" is a nonfunctioning feature at this time. Additionally players can see the flavor profile of the food, and select how much of the food to create.

• In the Kickstarter, Winnipeg has an example of a plot influencing trade where he requests Wicker Baskets for Sol Borough:

  Hi there! I would love to cook something for you right now, but can I ask a favour from you? My sister wants to bring food as a peace offering to the palace in the Sol Borough! But carrying food for a population so grand tales a lot of carrying capacity. I’m going to need 500 Wicker Baskets to pull this off. Otherwise… Well I guess we will stay out of their good graces, hm hm.

This wondrous fruit basket takes me back to my time growing up in the quiet Luna forests. My family was isolationists, and we rarely left the dark and damp undergrowth which we called home. Yet, one gloomy morning, the cat which my mother scorned who lived in the dying oak, left me a basket of fruit on my bedside. I tried apple the first time that day. I never forgot her.
