The Southern Irimar is a Fauna item, and was designed by a Kickstarter backer.
Appearance
The Southern Irimar has a body resembling an Equine, but rather than hooves it instead has three toed webbed feet and a beak. Protective armor covers the face, neck, back, and tail which resembles that of a lobster. The underlying body is a deep purple with a white underside, while its armor is a vivid gradient of blues, greens, purples, pinks, and oranges. Two long orange antenna appear on either side of the head.

General Observation

Entry I
Illustrations of Southern Irimar have been found in ancient caves north of Hum’s inlet, discovered surrounded by red pawprints and sketched in charcoal. They occupy the same ecological niche as cephalopods and crustaceans, but with predatory habits similar to carnivorous birds. They feast on other, smaller crustaceans.
Irimar are considered very delicious creatures, and have seen massive declines in population, likely due to over-hunting for their succulent meat and vibrant shell. Later, settlements around the crescent bend of the archipelago imported wild breeding pairs to help replenish the population.
Some settlements have maintained traditions of herding and racing Irimar, and there are rumors of underground, organized fighting rings. Today, most commercial Irimar meat comes from fisheries managed for profit near the Abyssal equator.
