General Observation
The Tundrake is surprisingly small and playful. These creatures love to dive and dart through the snow, chasing their own tails or playing hide-and-seek with other wildlife.
Entry I
The Northern Tundrake is common in the Sol Borough. Early settlers of outer Sol discovered Tundrakes nesting in underground ice tunnels.
Tundrakes are remarkably resistant to common illnesses, which prompted interest from locals. Catfolk began to trap and breed these creatures after noticing their penchant for catching and consuming plague-carrying hares, something which significantly plighted the catfolk of Sol near the turn of the Third Age.
In time, Tundrakes became accustomed to catfolk. Urban families favor Tundrakes for their small size, and their ability to adapt to moderate indoor climates, while rural households train them as vermin control or border sentries.
The captive breeds have more white and blue coloring, brighter feathers, and smaller horns, but wild Tundrakes still persist in feral colonies along the borders of Sol.
Some breeders have tried to sell the breed. The Metropolis outright banned any Tundrake imports after several escapees devastated roosting songbirds within the city proper, and the Tundrakes themselves do poorly in the heat regardless.
