General Observation
Carics spend their time hollowing dens to store tubers, nuts and other fruits or vegetables currently in season
Entry I
Caric first appeared in the crescent-shaped valleys west of the Zenith Mountain range. Some regions have considered them a pest; it’s known to destroy vegetable gardens and break into root cellars.
Though its rather cute stature has protected it from greater cultural ire. In areas where Caric are populous, the creature is featured in many art pieces as a cherubic, almost kit-like figure. It's for this reason that the cultural perception of the Caric's settlement destruction is largely that of a rowdy child.
Despite its charm, it is a routine hunting prize. Its unique flavor and fur make it a tempting pursuit. Central Harvest is known for a delicious, hardy Caric Stew recipe, featuring copious amounts of rosemary.
The Caric is of average intelligence for any Artiodactyla, though there are historical misconceptions. Early traders have spread stories of Caric forming alliances with local species. This thought stemmed from their ubiquitous presence throughout Kotemara. However, later studies disproved the notion; they are solitary creatures. Caric simply thrive with a stubborn persistence, and their adaptability make them remarkably omnipresent in local ecology.
Tailors in Cogwheel once favored Caric hides for their waterproof properties, but demand declined after the rise of synthetic and magical textiles.
Trivia
