General Observation

On clear nights, Lunasagi are seen gazing intently at the moon. Some believe you can even spot the outline of a Lunasagi on the full moon’s surface.

Entry I

Lunasagi first appeared in the historical records of Zenith, especially in miner dig logs and surveyor journals. It is possible Lunasagi migrated from Luna Borough to Zenith after a large faultquake shortly after the Starfall Impact, following the new route of harkestone energy revealed in the crust. Prior to this, they only appear in the folk tales of early Luna Borough.

Early Lunasagi bear a much duller, soot-colored coat, and their horns rarely reach the shape or aesthetics seen in post-faultquake generations. More than half the modern Lunasagi are purple, and several show blue or white specks. Most researchers attribute this to mutation and fast adaptation to increased starlight exposure following the migration. Others say it is artificial selection, since Zenith miners are known to keep Lunasagi as pets for watching tunnels, and they prefer the purple variety for nighttime camouflage from predators.

Lunasagi are not observed in any other borough. They do not survive in the heat or lower altitudes, even after deliberate introduction.
