The Patches Gene is an overcoat gene.
The design of this gene greatly resembles bicolor tabby cats.
Cats with this gene have colorful patches of the Tiger gene, mainly on their faces, legs, backs and tails. The exact placement of the patches varies between breeds.
With the Patches gene, a cat's undercoat is visible on their face, chest, paws, underbelly and tailtip. The exact placement of the undercoat coverage varies between breeds, but it consistently allows for a majority of the cat's coat to have undercoat coverage.
It is not currently known for certain if this gene will receive an asset update, but considering the updates to Tiger, it is likely that it will.
