The design of this gene is stated to be based off of the "average mackerel tabby,"[1] which is a variation of the common tabby pattern.
Cats with this gene have a lighter base, and darker stripes all across their body. They have small spots on their muzzles, and dark markings on the parts of their toes where their claws would sit.
