Nana Nettle

Nana Nettle is a Sol Thumper NPC found in the Composting page. She allows players to compost food and supply items, and offer various wares in exchange for compost.

Composting

Nana Nettle accepts  Food and  Supply items with a rarity of 0. In turn they are composted into  Scraps and  Ash respectively. Compost is used in Farming and Husbandry to alter the soil quality or grass density.

The composting menu

The composting menu is accessed by selecting "Compost Items", this will expand the box and reveal the composting menu. From here players may select any rarity 0 food or supply items from their storage to be turned into compost. Multiple selections may be made, and players have control as to how much an individual item is composted. There is no fee for this process.

Shop

Nana Nettle has items available to buy, they are purchased with either Scraps or Ash. Every 6 hours the shop and its contents refresh.

Fertilizer Exchange

Fertilizer trades

Nana Nettle will have three varieties of fertilizer for trade when you visit her. Every 6 hours the fertilizer trades and their requested items refresh and change. She will ask for the three current most common rarity 0 items in the economy; The first trade will be 250 of the most common, the second trade will be 150 of the second most common, and the third trade will be 50 of the third most common.

Fertilizers

Fertilizers are used in Farming to alter the conditions of cultivation. The effects a fertilizer provides can range from positive, negative, or a gamble between either. All fertilizers, and their effects, are detailed below.

Fertilizer Description
 Alluring Fertilizer A sweet-smelling fertilizer which increases the chance of a Fauna event during cultivation.
 Reliable Fertilizer A traditional fertilizer which prevents any random event during cultivation.
 Eventful Fertilizer An interesting fertilizer which increases the chance of a random event during cultivation, positive or negative.
 Lucky Fertilizer A fortunate fertilizer which increases the chance of a positive random event during cultivation.
 Risky Fertilizer A dubious fertilizer which may either double a harvest's yield... or cut it in half.
 Bountiful Fertilizer A rich and hearty fertilizer which significantly increases a harvest's yield.
 Rich Fertilizer A rich and hearty fertilizer which slightly increases a harvest's yield.

  • Nana Nettle received multiple updates on May 21, 2026.[1]
    • Compost ratios were altered from 5:1 to 1:1.
    • Nana Nettle now offers three fertilizer trades at once instead of just a singular trade. Additionally requested items have an amount cap per tier.
    • Nana Nettle's shop prices were adjusted.

Trivia

  • "Happy Humus" refers to Humus, the organic matter above the topsoil and below leaf litter which is finely divided having a high surface area.
