General Observation
Despite its domesticated brethren, this Western variant of Romanovtsa appears to have re-adapted to the wild.
Entry I
The Western Romanovtsa is a rogue variant believed to have come from escaped domestic varieties around Harvest. Like all Romanovtsa, they sprout a rich variety of vegetation atop their head, though the Western variety is notably less diverse, consisting mainly of taproots and tubers.
It’s most recognizable by its black wool and long, protruding fangs. The precursorary, wild version of Romanovtsa—which were adopted for domestication—have ceased to exist, pushed to extinction by Wastebeasts, over-hunting, and settlement encroachment. The Romanovtsa progenitor species was already a small, isolated colony formed from a minor harkestone deposit, and could not endure the turn of the ages.
Yet, Romanovtsa who have escaped captivity and survived the outer wilds have thrived in small herds.
