The Abyssal borough is one of seven boroughs. They are heavily linked to travel and the ocean.

The Abyssal breeds are yet to be announced. Any cats born under this borough have purple or pink eyes.

Lore

Location

Located below the Harvest territory, the Abyssal territory has a comparatively small section of land, with the bulk of their territory laying under the ocean. The land portion of the territory is among the tropics and shores, this section being dubbed the Upper Abyssal. The undersea portion, Lower Abyssal, surrounds an underwater spire.

Culture

There is a bit of a divide between the Upper and Lower Abyssal catfolk, and a different ruler for each. Upper Abyssal catfolk have a large focus on travel, with many sailors and merchants occupying the dock-side towns. Abyssal sailors are known to spread secrets and gossip freely. Fish is a very important export from Abyssal along with various travel resources. This section is ruled by the Queen.

Lower Abyssal catfolk have learned to manipulate coral to build their homes. Most will live communally among the coral and undersea structures. Loners who have broken off from these groups choose instead to prowl along the deep sea. The Lower Abyssal catfolk spend a lot of resources on innovations towards underwater exploration for those who cannot breathe underwater, such as diving suits and submarines. This section is ruled by the Princess.

Tensions

The two rulers of the Abyssal territory have rocky relations at times. Sometimes the Princess is content to let the Queen hold most of the duties, but the Princess can grow jealous and animosity can brew.
