Farming is a feature where one can plant stalks or trees.

Up to five of the same crops can be planted at a time.

Stalks grow quickly (3 days) and improve soil quality when harvested, while trees take longer (12 days) and reduce soil quality but produce multiple harvests.

Soil quality affects your yields. After each harvest, you can spread scraps or ash to adjust the soil. You can also do this on empty pens.

You may tend to your plants daily. You can also assign a Farmer cat to automatically tend the pen for you.

When growing trees, you may occasionally prune them to obtain a Stick.
