The Central Frillasnap is a Fauna item.
Appearance
The Central Frillasnap is a small animal resembling a lizard. It is mostly dark green with orange and red accents around the head, feet, and tail. Its head and neck have large, scaly frills, flaps of skin that extend out from the head. The head is orangey-yellow with that fades into red at the tips of the frills. The tail has red thorns along it with a floral-like orange and red tip. On its feet, there are long, orange claws.

General Observation
Despite its floral appearance, it's anything but delicate.
Entry I
Frillasnap have likely existed in the Kotemara grasslands before the genesis of written record. They are a small, invasive, opportunistic species, likely derived from an elder variety originating from Abyssal and spread via nautical voyages to the coastlines. Unfortunately, the Frillasnap will aggressively overtake any environment it’s introduced to, and Frillasnap have exploded in predatory, detrimental population around Southern Harvest.
Some communities attempted to use Frillasnap for rodent control, but this practice failed after the Frillasnap resisted domestication and continued overtaking native wildlife. Efforts at native ecological preservation have targeted Frillasnap populations in the southern forests, where it is wreaking significant havoc. Eradication efforts have so far failed.
Thus, the Central Frillasnap persists in the Southern to Middle part of the Harvest Borough, with aggressive expansion towards and around the Metropolis. They have no known predators in the region. Wild dogs are sometimes found eating Frillasnap carcasses, but only after the animal has already died from injury or malnutrition.
Trivia
The Frillasnap is modeled after the real-life frilled lizard. It may also be influenced by the snapdragon flower.
