Pelts

Pelts are user-made cosmetic items that can be worn on a cat. They are obtained from the Pelt Market, Flea Market, or from trading. Refer to the on-site database for a comprehensive list of all pelts.
Submitting A Pelt
Submitting a pelt requires one
Pelt Palette - Clipped or
Pelt Palette - Unclipped. Both are purchased at Wheatley and Crowleys shop in the premium section for 1,000
and 1,500
respectively. There'll be a 70
silver fee per submitted pose. Users receive a 2% discount from the final submission price for every pose submitted at once, capping at a 20% discount (10 poses). All submitted pelts must follow PawBorough's Terms of Service and Pelt Guidelines.
The following pelt information can be edited during the submission process:
- "Pelt Icon", the pelts thumbnail.
- "Pelt Name", the name of the pelt. Each pelt must have a unique name.
- "Description", the description for the pelt. Visible in the database or when users open the items card.
- "Artists", select one or more users to be attributed. Used in filtering within the database or pelt market.
- "Colors Used", the colors used in the pelt. Used in filtering within the database or pelt market.
- "Pelt Coverage", the areas of the body the pelt covers a cat. This is separate from the calculated coverage percent that influence printing fees. Used in filtering within the database or pelt market.
- "Tags", an additional label to help identify the theme of a pelt. Such as "Elegant" or "Flowers". Used in filtering within the database or pelt market.
Clipped & Unclipped Pelts
Clipped pelts are confined within a cats lineart and sit below the eye layer. Clipped pelts may only be a single layer. Unclipped pelts may be a single layer that sits above a cats artwork, or below it like a backdrop.
Pelt Market
The Pelt Market is a marketplace dedicated to the sales of pelts. Users can purchase pelts for Silver
, Copper
, or both. Every listing will have an additional flat silver fee on top of its base price. The cost of the fee is determined by the pelts coverage.
Pelt Credits
Pelts include attribution to the owner and artist. The owner of a pelt is the user that has printing rights to the pelt. The artist is the or a designer of the pelt, and has no printing rights. By default the user submitting a pelt will be credited as both the owner and artist.
